In March 2021, the Foundation donated a state-of-the-art portable resuscitation cart with a capnograph and a heart defibrillator to the Unit for Burned Children and Reconstructive Surgery (UNIQUER) of Hospital Pereira Rossell.
UNIQUER is a specialized medical institute nominated in 2019 as one of the national reference centers, which provide coverage for children from the public and private health system. The donated equipment was part of the requirements established by the National Resources Fund for this type of center.
Given the injuries sustained by the children, the treatments are extremely painful, so sedation and analgesia must be used. These procedures have risks that can be detected early on by this device and consequently treated.
At the equipment delivery ceremony, we were received by Dr. Beatriz Manaro (Head of the Service), Dr. Marcela Pizarro (Pediatrician) and Dr. Héctor Telechea (Assistant to the Board, Pediatric Hospital).
