Fundación Retoño, a non-profit organization, was founded for the purpose of helping foster the development of better opportunities for children and youth facing a situation of social vulnerability in Uruguay, thus collaborating with the Uruguayan Government's efforts in this sense.

Liceo Espigas
The high school, which opened in 2016, incorporated its fourth group in 2019, with a total of 275 students from 1st to 4th grades. It consists of a full time and free high school.

Simiente Project
This project started activities on March 2015 at the Espigas Centre. It has been running ever since with great success, designed to prepared children that will attend Liceo Espigas and that are currently in 5th and 6th grades of Primary School at public schools in the area.
