Children's Club

in agreement with I.N.A.U.

Children's Club assists 129 children from those who are attending initial education to those who attend 4th grade of primary at state schools in the area (on average children from 4 to 12 years old). Others who are cared for with Fundación Retoño's funds should be added to the total. Children go to Espigas before or after school hours.

This program's staff consists of a Coordinating Teacher, a Psychologist, a Psychomotricist, two Social Assistants, three Teachers for school support (two of which are specialized in learning difficulties), five Assistants and Workshops Teachers for Computer Science, English, Music, Percussion, Dance and Sports.

The Club also has a child suffering a hearing impairment. He has a cochlear implant and Fundación Retoño takes care of his speech therapy and psychological treatments, as well as a sign language interpreter at the Club.

Children receive lunch at the state schools, so at Espigas they are given breakfast or lunch according to their schedule at the Centre.
